I'm here to walk you through the process of moving your customer's data from one QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to another.
You can simply export your customer lists and import them to your new QuickBooks Online account.
To export:
- Go to the Gear ⚙ icon.
- Under Tools, select Export Data.
- Click on Lists tab.
- Toggle to select Customers only.
- Select Export to Excel.

To import:
- Go to the Gear ⚙ icon.
- Under Tools, select Import data.
- Choose Customers.
- Click on Browse and locate the file you exported, then click on Next.
- In the Your Field column, select each small arrow ▼ icon. Then, match your field to the corresponding QuickBooks Online field.
- Select No Match if you have a field that doesn't have a matching column in your spreadsheet.
- Confirm your contacts. Uncheck any that you don't want to save.
- If everything looks good, select Import.
I'll be adding this article for more information: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.
You can also check out this link for common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
Tiy can also export the customer contact list report so you have a copy of the inforamtion enter for customer contacts.
I'll be available if you have any further questions about customer lists in QBO. Take care and enjoy your day!
