Is there a way to display the memo field in the bank reconciliation screen? My one iif imports the check numbers on the memo line (since it is one big journal entry for 50+ checks). Is there a way to see that memo line in the bank rec screen?

We can do a few customization in the Reconcile page, littlemidget.
Yes, we can add columns that we want to display in the Reconcile page. Here's how to add the Memo column:
- In the Reconcile window, click the Columns to Display... button.
- In the Customize Columns window, mark Memo under the CHECKS & PAYMENTS and the DEPOSITS AND OTHER CREDITS.
- Click OK.
After that, you can manually adjust the column widths by dragging the column dividers.

Thank you. I looked everywhere on the top, in the setting, click all over the place. I just never looked down at the bottom. I feel so embarrassed now. Thanks for your help, I can't believe it was sitting there the whole time lol.
I have a similar issue with Quickbooks for Mac. The bank reconciliation detail report will not show memo text for sub accounts. When I add the memo column to the bank reconciliation detail report, it shows the memo text for accounts, but if the check or deposit was posted to a sub account, the memo line shows up as either blank (for checks), or says "deposit" (for deposits). It will not show the actual text entered on the memo line when I entered the check or deposit. How do I change the report setting to show memo text for sub accounts?

Thanks for your help! The memo text shows "Deposit" where I'd like it to show the actual memo text from the entry. Here's a screen shot of the memo area where the memo text for a sub account entry doesn't show the memo text on the bank reconciliation detail report.
Specifically, this occurs with the income account Donations and sub accounts Donations Individuals and Donations Organizations.

The Bank Reconciliation Detail Report will give you the transaction detail of each transaction, which is why it shows deposit instead of the memo. If a report is run for each line items, that's when you'll see the memo entered.
