In order to help you can we ask which payroll you use in Quickbooks is it our Standard payroll or our Advanced payroll?

Thanks for coming back to us and letting us know which one you have. Could we ask you to send a screenshot of this error you are getting on the payroll journal so we can look into it more for you.

Hello Lorraine, Thanks for the screenshots, the publishing error on the journals could be due to a few things, can we get you in the cog in the top right>account and settings to check if close the books is on for the period you are running if so can you turn that off and run the period again. If you could then check the net pay account you have set up in the payroll settings section is not under a foreign currency. Did you migrate the payroll from our desktop product can we check? If you create a dummy journal entry for 0.01p to any accounts but make sure that a new transaction number is used in the top right of the journal and then try and run the payroll again and see if the journals are created. If that does not work if you can change the net pay account to something else and save and do this 3 or 4 times and then change it back and save and try and rerun the payroll. 

If those steps do not resolve we'll need to look in-depth at the chart of accounts for the payroll and the expense and liability accounts that are being used to check they are correct.

All of these actions were done by someone in quickbooks through an online chat but still not sorted.
