While reviewing my not-yet-filed W-2s I see that box 16 needs editing. Is there a way to edit this box manually (I have automatic tax form filing on). Thank you.

Hello Andy, I'm here to assist you with editing your W-2 in QuickBooks Online. 

 

The option to correct W-2s depends on your automated taxes and forms setting. Since we handle the filing of your W-2s, you'll need to reach out to our QuickBooks Payroll Team to request a correction. They will rectify the issue and file a W-2c form with the SSA. You will also receive a copy of the W-2c to provide to your employee, as well as an updated W-3 copy to print for your records. The expert you speak with can provide an estimated timeline for when you and your employee should expect to receive the W-2c and W-3c.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.
