Flexibility in running payroll to cover a specific date depends on how you set up your employee's pay schedule. However, QBO is design to remain compliant with the Department of Labor State Payday Requirements about pay schedule frequency. You can consider updating your employee's current pay schedule or you can create a new one. Let me show you how:
- Select Payroll on the menu, then select Employees.
- Choose your employee.
- Select Start or Edit from the Employment details.
- Choose the pay schedule for the employee from the Pay schedule drop-down or select + Add pay schedule to create a new pay schedule.
- Enter details in the fields and select Save.
- Once done, click on Save.
