Do we need to submit an Entity Change to Quickbooks if we change from Sole proprietorship to LLC, or can we just edit the EIN and bank accounts in QBO?

Hi there, jaymew3.
You will need to submit the Entity Change Packet if you're subscribed to Intuit Full Service Payroll or QuickBooks Online Full Service Payroll. You can download and fill out the from from here: Entity Change Packet.
Then, send the completed form, along with any supporting documents via email or fax. You can email them to EntityChanges@intuit.com, or fax to 877.471.2801. Here's an article for more details: Entity Change Process For IFSP/QBFSP.
Leave a note below if you need anything else.

Hi there, @jzmc.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm happy to help with changing your EIN.
In order to change your EIN on your account, you'll need to turn off E-Services, edit the EIN, and then turn E-Serivces back on as well.
I'm going to provide you some steps below on how to turn off E-Services.
Deactivate state electronic services:
1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Payroll Settings.
2. Click on E-file and e-pay.
3. Pick Next to proceed until you reach the State Taxes overview page.
4. Go to Manually with paper coupon.
5. Choose Next.
Change your state account number:
1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Payroll Settings.
2. Under Taxes, select State Taxes.
3. Enter your state account number.
4. Select OK.
Reactivate state electronic services
1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Payroll Settings.
2. Select E-file and e-pay.
3. Select E-pay and e-file (recommended).
4. Select Next to proceed until you reach the State Taxes overview page.
5. Select E-pay and e-file (recommended) for state tax payments and forms.
6. Select Continue until you reach the Print Your Authorization Forms overview page.
7. Print the authorization forms, sign them, scan them and upload them to the SalesForce case.
Once you have went through these steps I have provided, your EIN will be up to date.
I'm also going to provide a link below with the contact support information if you have any more questions as well:

What if changing from a sole proprietor to an LLC with no payroll/employees? We just opened the QB account a couple of weeks ago and the business is so new we have very little in QB. The only thing is we opened a checking account with Green Dot for the purpose of accepting credit cards and purchased the QB card reader. So all that said, it seems crazy to me to add the LLC as a new company requiring an additional subscription. Since everything is so new can we just replace the existing sole proprietor company with the LLC EIN?
