QuickBooks Online is here to meet all of your business accounting needs, and streamlining your work is what we do best! Adding Payroll to QuickBooks Online is the best way to save you time and keep things organized. I'd be happy to explain the limitations of the mobile app in regards to setting up Payroll.
Payroll will have to be set up, run, and accessed using the browser version of QuickBooks Online. The mobile app is a great tool for conducting business on-the-go, but there's a few features that are too robust to fit this platform. Payroll is one of the features that's limited to the browser.
To set up Payroll, sign in on a browser at qbo.ca. From there, follow these steps:
- Select the Settings icon:
- Select Account and Settings.
- Select Billing & Subscription.
- Look for QuickBooks Standard Payroll.
- Select Subscribe. If you do not already have a credit card on file, you will be prompted to enter Payment information.
Keep in mind that your QBO subscription comes with a 30-day free trial of Payroll!
