Good day, betsyclemons.

QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2016 is upgraded to run on macOS Sierra. Make sure your QuickBooks is updated. To update QuickBooks:

  1. Go to QuickBooks.
  2. Select Check for QuickBooks Updates and follow the on-screen prompts to install.

Let me know if you're still encountering issues after attempting these steps. Thanks!

Try the rebuild that InuitSarah described and see if that fixes it.

This is happening to me as well since I updated to Sierra. "QuickBooks 17.1.5.332 R06 is currently the newest version available." so I am running the most updated version, too ...

Same with me, upgraded QB's several times, still crashes. Crash report window also froze.

We are seeing crashes from users with the Sierra OS.  We are trying to find reproducible cases so that we can fix them.  One issue we've seen is with marking invoice items as taxable and/or untamable.  If you have a specific series of steps that lead to a crash it would be a big help.

I am having crashes on 17.1.6 R7 every time I try to modify a deposit. Can't do it without it freezing.

PS I tried rebuilding the data to see if that would help - did not help.

I have all the updates, too, and my QB crashes constantly when I'm in the check writing mode.  Especially when I enter the job number (we assigned) into the Customer:Job section.  It has rendered QB useless!

I have all the updates and my QB keeps crashing when updating invoices, after I save the update and try to open the next invoice the system freezes - says internal error - give three button options, but I can’t click on any of them.  All I can do to fix, is manual force quite QB and reopen.  Its not letting me see details or creating a crash report via email

I did the rebuild data as well - it found errors, it rebuilt successfully, and it is still crashing when working on invoices.

See my answer below about the scrollbars.  We are testing the update to fix the issue.

I am having the same problems since upgrading to Mac Sierra.  My Quickbooks for Mac crashes whenever I try and print a sales receipt.  Is there a solution for this?

Have you run QuickBooks->Check For Updates and applied the available updates?

IS THE PROGRAM STILL CRASHING WITH SIERRA?

Yes.  I downloaded the latest update for Quickbooks for Mac 2 weeks ago and it STILL crashes.

The issue in this thread was fixed long ago. If it is still crashing it is a different issue and likely specific to either your machine or company file.  Start a new thread and we'll walk through hit and find the issue.

Any time I try to rearrange my account list Quickbooks fails so I am unable to run reports in the order I want them to appear.  This crashing is unacceptable.
