Welcome aboard to the Community. I'm here to help provide additional clarification about accessing QuickBooks Desktop.
When installing the program, you'll have the option to install QuickBooks for the current user only or for all users.
If you're not getting an option to choose, you can go to the install location and manually add a shortcut into the desktop. In case you need the detailed steps in installing QuickBooks, I'm adding the article on this as well:
I also recommend seeking assistance from an IT guy if you're still unable to show them from the Local User account. They'll be able to check the installation on your end.
