It's good to see you here in the Community space, paulde.
I recognize the importance of having an automatic sales receipt in QuickBooks Online.
Currently, QuickBooks doesn't automatically make a sales receipt. However, some features in QuickBooks can be supported by our third-party apps. Choosing a third-party app will save you time to create your sales receipt.
We're unable to recommend a 3rd party app to use. However, There's a feature in QuickBooks that allows you to search for an app that meets your needs. Here's how:
- From the left menu, click Apps.
- Select the Find Apps tab.
- Enter a brief description of the feature in the Search for an App box.
- If there's a list of selections, choose the app you want to integrate, then click Get the app now to connect.
If you have any further concerns about sales receipts in QuickBooks Online, please don't hesitate to share them with the community. Keep safe!

I had a look at the apps but there is no receipting app. I find it very strange that QB is not able to send a receipt of a bank transfer. If QB claims to be a good finance app this functionality should eb there. And should be easy to add to the system. You get a big one star only for this and i might need to warn your new customers for this major missing feature on social media. Even Xero has this feature. Very disappointed!
