Copying company, all projects are converted to Donors
I am copying over a company to a new company. However, all the "projects" that I had meticulously set up in the original company get copied over as "Donors" in the new company, which is not the same, and have lost all of the project tracking.
Is there any way to fix this?
How hard can this be Quickbooks?

I'll go over some details to help you get around this issue with projects in QuickBooks Online.
Since it's copied to a new company, you'll want to ensure the Projects feature isn't turned on. Thus, it can be why those Projects are converted into Donors.
QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced have Projects turned on by default. However, for QuickBooks Online Accountant, you need to activate Projects. Here's how you can enable it:
- Go to the Settings and then select Company settings.
- From the Advanced tab, find the Projects section and tick Edit to expand it.
- Select the Use project financial tracking switch.
- Click Save, then OK to confirm.
