Hi there, @Golf 25. I'm here to help you find old journal entries from 2021.

There are two options to achieve your goal. First, we could utilize the Search Transactions feature to locate the journal entry from 2021. Second, we can generate the Journal report to obtain an overview of all journal entries from that period and look for it.

To find old journal entries from 2021 using the Search transaction feature:

  1. Hover to the Magnifying glass icon, and click Go to transactions search
  2. Click the All Transactions dropdown, then select Journal Entries.
  3. In the lower dropdown, select Entry No and enter the JE number in the Enter reference number bar.
  4.  Tap the Add Filter, and click the Date Filter dropdown.
  5. Select your preferred date range. For example: From March 18, 2021 to December 30, 2021.
  6. Once done, click Search

I've attached a screenshot for visual reference.

Now, let's pull up the Journal report:

  1. Go to the Reports and enter Journal in the Search bar.
  2. Tap the Report period dropdown and pick Custom dates to choose your preferred date range. For example: From March 18, 2021 to December 30, 2021.
  3. Tap the report page to refresh. Click Filter and click the Filter dropdown.
  4. Select Transaction type, then in the Operation area, choose Equals.
  5. In the Value area, choose Journal Entry.
  6. Once done, tap the page once again to refresh. Now utilize the keyboard shortcut (CTRL+F), then enter the JE number to look for it.

Furthermore, you can export and print the report you've pulled up. You can also reverse and delete a journal entry in QuickBooks Online.

I'm always available to assist you in locating your past journal entries. You can reach out whenever you need my help. Best regards!
