I am also disappointed with Quick Books. I have 2022 and I was told that if I wanted payroll support it would now be $2800.00 a year. What is going on with this company? We, the small business owners built this company. Do they not respect that? They are no longer getting my money. i will work offline if I have to. You can never reach anyone anyway. I can no longer afford this company.

Switch to QB Desktop with a non subscription license + Payroll Mate (start at $219 for up to 75 employees). You will import data as JE into QB Desktop.

It's over  $900 for 2025 for Desktop pro if you are a current user

So do you perform the payroll via this Payroll Mate?  Is that an outside payroll company?

For your reference. You can install the trial version to evaluate it. And the great thing is that you can import payroll data with IIF into QB Desktop with a non-subscription license.

What is wrong with them is that they're simply doing what thieves and masters of greed do.

Starting QB Desktop 2022, Intuit only offers the subscription license. Only scammers offer QB Desktop 2024 with non subscription licenses. You may consider using QB Desktop 2021 Pro for 3 users with a non-subscription license. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and ask if they have stock.
