The advanced inventory feature is part of QB Desktop Enterprise. You can use the trial version of QB Desktop Enterprise 2020 as a workaround.

That's so aggravating. I was told that premiere would work!! How do i go about making that work to where it functions well

This is not what we wanted you to experience, Daryl. The truth is, the advanced inventory features you're looking for are only fully available in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise (as what Chrea said above) - which is a bit more robust than the Premiere version you're currently using.

We totally get that this might feel like an inconvenience, but Enterprise is designed specifically for businesses that need more complex inventory management.

So here's what I'm working with. I have a Hp Laptop with 2020 Desktop Premiere on it. This is of course a off line product and that is the way i need for it to work. So is there a easy way to switch it?  else i need to purchase a new version.

What I really want to do is be able to use a barcode scanner and also create barcodes for products that do not have any and print labels via a zebra printer. Maybe I'm missing something?

You need to use QB Desktop Enterprise Platinum to enable advanced inventory features including barcodes. You can buy it through a partner to get a discounted price. If you prefer to stick with QB Desktop 2020 Premier, you might consider using a third-party inventory management application to integrate with it. You can use your phone as a scanner and you don't need to have a Zebra scanner.

What for software would you recommend? I would need something that works with it!
