I am using QB Prem 2020 with latest update.
Yesterday I asked to question how to handle gift sets with various items.
I got a reply from support that I can memorize the transaction. Fair enough.
What I rather would need is to memorize the items from the transaction, as the same gift set is purchased by other customers.
Using the memorized transaction I have to override the customer information to the new customers. It triggers several popups warning about tax implications (which makes sense).
Is there a better way to do this?
Hello gerdgoebel, glad to have you here.
Using the Memorized transaction feature in QuickBooks Desktop helps to handle items purchased by other customers. Once you override the customer's details, the system prompts about tax implications. Still, you can use this feature in handling gift sets.
Another option is to look for a third-party application that would help you out in saving the items used by other customers. Once you found one, you can then integrate it into the program. Here's how:
- Go to this link: Apps for QuickBooks Desktop.
- In the search field, enter a keyword of the app you want.
- You can also review the features, benefits of the app, and even watch a demo before using it.
Let me know if you have other concerns. I'm right here together with my colleagues to help you figure them out. Take care and stay safe always.
Thanks for your reply. I already checked out third party apps, but those won't apply in this case after I am in a sales receipt or invoice and now just would like to get the items of my gift sets.
I know I could import the entire sales receipt with an app but that requires additional other steps.
There should be an option from within QB.
