Does anyone know why my custom invoice, when I preview in PDF, shows the date, when I have UNCHECKED date display in the options?

Hi stenolynn-gmail-,
I can understand how having the date appear on the PDF preview of your custom invoices after you've unselected the option, can be cause for concern. One of the many features in QuickBooks Online is having the ability to add, edit or create your own templates to perfection and meet your company's expectations. You can also make changes to your forms in your settings. I'll go over both of these for you.
Here's how to edit the custom form setup:
1. Click on the Gear icon in the top right and select Custom form styles
2. Select Edit to the right of the template
3. Open the Content tab
4. Scroll down and uncheck the Due date option under the Display tab
5. Click Done when finished
In addition, you can remove the date from sales forms by following these steps:
1. From the Gear icon, select Account and Settings
2. Choose Sales from the left menu
3. Hit the Edit icon to the far right of Sales Form Content
4. Use the slide bar to toggle Service Date off
Please feel free to reach back out with any other questions that may arise. We'd be glad to assist!

Hi Trish,
Your first suggestion does not even apply to my specific problem. You suggest that I de-select the due date in the custom forms edit. I don't want to de-select the due date. I want the due date to appear on my invoices. What I do not want is an area appearing on my invoices (in the middle section where you describe what you are invoicing for), for the date of service. I have no need to enter a date of service, so this column will take up space unnecessarily. Even though I have de-selected this, it nonetheless appears.
The second suggestion applies to sales forms. Before I take these steps and risk screwing up something, are custom invoice templates classified as sales forms? If yes, I will try that. If no, then there is no need to try that, because I need to my custom invoice template pdf preview to match what appears in the design box.

I just went to sales forms content, as per your suggestion, and service date is already set to "off".
