GST
Thanks for posting in the Community, @leslie69. Let me add the information about recording GST payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Subscription plan that allows the recording of GST payments are QuickBooks Online Essentials, QuickBooks Online Plus, and QuickBooks Online Simple Start.
However, before recording the GST payments, factors to be considered first are reviewing what you owe and filing your return with the correct tax agency. After that, we can now proceed with recording your GST payments.
Here's how:
- Go to Taxes.
- In the Returns tab, under Filed returns, find the return you just filed, then select Record payment.
- Under Payment Type, then choose Payment.
- Add these payment details:
- Bank account
- Payment date
- Payment amount
- Memo (optional)
- Select Save.
You can see your payment details under the Payments tab.
Lastly, the final factor is checking your filing status. I've added this article for you to learn how to file your GST return and record your GST payment in QuickBooks Online: File your GST return and record GST payments in QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, I've included this article, which shows how we can run a GST Detail Report in QuickBooks Online: GST Detail Report.
I'll leave the thread open if you need additional assistance managing your taxes and any QuickBooks-related queries. I'm always available 24/7. Stay safe.
