QuickBooks Online is designed to meet your business accounting needs. I’d like to share some information on how creating a budget works in QuickBooks Online.
For starters, QuickBooks Online only supports importing of the customers and vendors list, chart of accounts, bank transactions, products and services and custom invoices. Currently, the ability to import a prepared budget whether an it is an excel or .csv file is not yet available. In the meantime, you can manually create a budget in the system.
I can see how importing a prepared budget would be helpful for both you and your business. I’d be glad to forward these suggestions to our Product Engineers for consideration in future updates. QBO is constantly changing and evolving based largely on the suggestions and requests of users, like yourself.
