Good day, salloumrola.


Yes, QuickBooks Online can run report by departments.


To do this, you need to turn on the track location setting first.


Here's how:

  1. In the upper right corner, click Gear icon.
  2. Click Account and Settings.
  3. In the left navigation panel, click Advanced.
  4. In the Categories section, click on the Edit (pencil) button.
  5. Check on the Track locations box.
  6. Under Location label, select Department.
  7. Click Save.
  8. At the lower right corner, click Done.

Once done, you can pull up the department reports by following these steps:

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Reports.
  2. Find report by name in the search bar, type Department.
  3. Choose your desired report.
  4. Click Run report.
