 I would try opening the Payroll module in a new Google Chrome Incognito window.  From Chrome, click on the three dots in the upper right side of the window and choose 'new incognito window' (control + shift + N).  Browse to your Quickbooks Online file, login, and try the same sequence again.  This will clear all the unnecessary information from your browser and make sure it's not your cache that's messing up the load.  Hopefully this is a quick fix!  :)
