I hope your day is going well so far. Yes, QuickBooks will automatically sync your transactions after you have successfully connected your financial institution. The two-step authentication is required from your bank and needs to be entered to connect the bank account

 

Once your bank is synced with QuickBooks, then you can click the Update button within the Banking page to upload the transactions. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Banking tab on the left-hand menu bar.
  2. Select the Banking section. 
  3. Make sure the bank is shown with blue on it. If not, click on the bank. 
  4. In the top right-hand corner of the Banking screen, press Update
