Hello there, @3302406929.

I know how vital for your business to get your QuickBooks and company file up and running. Let me point you in the right direction on how to recover your data.

In addition to the details provided by @Fiat Lux - ASIA, we'll have to find the location of your QuickBooks file. By default, it is saved in the following path: C:\Users\Public\PublicDocuments\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files.

In case it was moved to a different location or you're unable to locate the file, head to the Windows old folder to look for it. Thus, you can consider consulting an IT personnel for further assistance. Once found, restore the desktop program.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the File menu and choose Open or Restore Company.
  3. Restore the file based on its type:
  • Windows company file (.qbw)
        1. Select Open a company file and Next.
        2. Open the appropriate folder, then choose the company file.
      1. Choose Open and enter the password.

I also recommend creating a backup of your company to prevent accidental loss. For tips and tricks on how to check the password details and get a copy of your QuickBooks, check this article: Restore your file.

Also, utilize the solution in these resources to find missing data:

Fill me in if you have other QuickBooks concerns or additional questions on how to restore the program. I'd be glad to respond to them.
