When connecting Shopify to QuickBooks Online (QBO), the process is done in the app's side. With that said, it would be best to contact the app provider to check on which field you'll need to use either "NAME" or "SKU" to sync with Shopify product master.


Any concerns about syncing or integrating the third-party software into your account are best handled by their technical support. If you already connected Shopify in QBO, here's how to reach them:


  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Click My Apps
  3. Choose Shopify app to contact their technical support. 

On the other hand, the Name and SKU fields are both available in QBO when adding your inventory products. You can check out this article for more details: Add inventory products in QuickBooks Online. Then. go to Step 2: Add your product’s name, SKU, and category section.
