Good day, @asphaltdude

Thanks for following the suggested steps that were shared above. Let's try another troubleshooting step so you can access the Pay Bills window back and record your bill payments.

To start,  use the File Doctor to fix company file issues in your company files. Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). Note: If you've installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab.  The version will be on the bottom.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Once done, run Quick Fix my File.

  1. From the tool hub, select Company File Issues.
  2. Click Quick Fix my File.
  3. Select OK when it completes and launch your QuickBooks.

If you still can't open your Pay Bills window, move to Step 3 of this article: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.

When you've managed to fix the crashing issue, you can start working on your QuickBooks program. If you need help, you can always visit our articles from the general articles list page.

Please keep me posted on your progress in accessing the Pay Bills window. I'm more than happy to lend a helping hand. If you have any other concerns about QuickBooks Desktop, you can share them with us. Take care, and I wish you continued success.
