Hi ben,

These are the steps on how to customize the invoice template to show the fields:

  1. Click on the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Click on the Edit link for the template.
  4. In the Content tab, click on the center page.
  5. Check the boxes for the fields.
  6. Click on Save.

For custom templates, editing them can be done in the original form (MS Word or the DOCX file). From there, edit the fields and map them correctly. Then, re-import it to QuickBooks Online.
