Hello ryan,

You should be able to add a bin location to an existing site as long as the Row, Shelf or Bin preference is enabled. Let me show you how to make sure it's turned on:

  1. Go to Edit at the top menu bar, and select Preferences.
  2. Choose Items & Inventory, and select Company Preferences at the top.
  3. Click the Advanced Inventory Settings button. 
  4. Under Multiple Inventory Locations, check the box beside Track bin Locations within Inventory Sites (row, shelf, or bin).
  5. Click OK twice.

I've added a screenshot below to show you where it is.

Once you've turned on the preference, please try to add a bin location to an existing site. The radio button for is a bin within site should be available. Just click Lists at the top menu bar and select Inventory Site List. Lastly double-click the inventory site.
