To Be Advanced or not to Be Advanced

One of the questions I often receive from people just getting started into the QuickBooks ProAdvisor world is:

"Is it really worth it to become Advanced Certified?"

Absolutely!

As an Advanced Certified ProAdvisor, our profile appears higher on search results which has helped increase the number of leads we get in our area!  It also helps separate us from the rest of the pack! When I conducted a 25 mile search, there were only two people out of 35 that were advanced certified!

Now it's your turn! Are you Advanced Certified?

Yes: How has being advanced certified benefited you?

No: Do you plan to become advanced certified?

Re: To Be Advanced or not to Be Advanced

Yes, I am Advanced Certified in both desktop and online.

The main benefit is top billing on the Find a ProAdvisor page.  I forgot the stats on Advanced vs regular ProAdvisors, but it’s quite a striking difference.  And you can learn from the advanced cert test module. It is definitely worth the time and effort.

So yes, the cream rises to the top.

Yes, like @lynda I am Advanced Certified in both desktop and online.

Appearing higher on the search results helps a lot.  Additionally, from my experience, when talking with potential clients they seem to respect the Advanced Certified credential as it informs potential clients that you’re serious about your profession…you’ve taken extra steps to learn more so you can better assist them.

I’ve used desktop more than QBO, so the Advanced Certified training expedited my learning curve and built up my confidence with QBO.
