Can't Edit The Foreign Currency Bank Deposit

Hi there, ahpsampath.

The system detects if the transaction's currency isn't the same with the customer/supplier's currency setup. That is the reason why you are getting an error message.

You'll need to deposit the funds to another bank that has the same currency with the customer. Please also make sure select the deposit before editing the currency exchange rate.

For example, if the customer's currency is in USD, then select a USD bank account.

Here's an article with links to help you with your multicurrency deposits:

Can't Edit The Foreign Currency Bank Deposit

Its the same currency Bank account and the customer. Thing is we can't edit the transactions once we posted. Even we can't edit the memo once we record the transaction. Previously we can do that recently when we try to edit the transaction its can't edit and this error there. Normally we need to edit the memo or the Exchange rate. Because sometimes people who enter the deposit they forget to put the correct exchange rate when we audit the transaction when we find this we need to correct the exchange rate. previously we can do that recently we cant edit.

Can't Edit The Foreign Currency Bank Deposit

Hello there, ahpsampath,

There's a similar report with the error "Something is not quite right, the currency of the transaction is invalid for customer/supplier/account." However, it's for a different region.

For now, let's try basic troubleshooting to clear out the error. Just press CTRL + Shift + N for Chrome and CTRL + Shift + P for Mozilla.

If you're not getting the error message while using a private window, let's clear your cache and cookies. You can also use a different browser.

If the same error persists, I recommend contacting our QB Online support. We can send a report and provide the details our product engineers need to resolve the error. Here's how:

  1. Click the Help icon.
  2. Click Contact us.
  3. Enter the error you got, then click Let's talk.
  4. Select Email us.

Please know that we're always here if you have other concerns.
