What file format you can download from your bank? csv, pdf, or else?

You can use a 3rd party tool to import your bank transactions.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community space. We'll provide information to help locate your bank and connect to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company.

 

There are many reasons your bank will not show up in the list when connecting a bank account inside QuickBooks Online QBO. We'll list some of them below to give you insights:

 

  • The bank has multiple names on our list. Make sure you have selected the correct listing or have tried all possible links. Search by the banking sign-in URL to ensure you are using the correct listing.
  • The bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs business accounts).
  • Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

 

To get through this, you'll want to go to your bank's official website and copy the URL. You'll then paste it in the Search bar inside the Banking page. These are the steps:

 

  1. Go to your bank's official website and copy the URL.
  2. Access your QuickBooks Online company and then click Bank transactions inside the Transaction tab.
  3. Click the Link Account button, and then enter the bank's URL in the Search bar.
  4. Once you see the bank, click on it and then select the Continue button.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps.
