Thanks for joining our QuickBooks Community forum. I see that QuickBooks Online has created a default account, and now you cannot use the data in your migrated Undeposited Funds account. I'll walk you through the steps to merge these two accounts.

In QuickBooks Online, you can merge accounts to consolidate data and remove duplicates. Know that unifying accounts are permanent and irreversible. Also, certain default accounts, such as those linked to online banking, cannot be merged or deleted. Before you continue, make sure you are in Accountant's view.

  1. If you're merging accounts with reconciliation reports, save those reports first. The account being unified may not keep the reconciliation history. The transactions remain on the joined account and stay reconciled.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙ and then select the Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to keep. Then, select the dropdown ▼ in the Action column and then Edit.
  4. Note the Save account under (Account Type), Account name (Name), and Tax form section (Detail Type) of the account. These must be the same between the accounts you want to merge.
  5. Check if the account is a subaccount or a parent account. The names of subaccounts are indented in the Name column of the Chart of Accounts list. If it is, note the parent account it's tied to.

For detailed information, refer to this article: Merge duplicate accounts, customers, and vendors in QuickBooks Online.

After following the steps, you'll have access to your migrated data. For any additional questions about your QBO data or any part of your QuickBooks Online, don't hesitate to post them here in the Community. We're always available and willing to lend a hand to your queries. Have a great day ahead!
