I want to share some more insights about this concern, @oboylepropertyma,
I want to help you out with this, I just need to ask some questions from you. Are you using the United States version of QuickBooks? If not, what country are you using QuickBooks for?
In the meantime, if you have QBO for USA, you can create a back up copy for you QuickBooks 2015 version then upgrade it to an edition that is 3 years higher. For example, you can restore a 2015 back up to a 2018 version. You cannot skip this process and jump directly to the newest versions, it has to be done in hierarchy.
Then from 2018 to the trial version so you can export the desktop data into QuickBooks Online.
For the steps to restore the file and how to move your company to QBO, use these listed on this articles:
If you need help with the file transition and assist you with the upgrade, please get in touch with our Support Team. To get a representative, follow the steps below:

You won't be able to migrate data from QBD to QBO Global version

You may have 2 options:
1. Utilize a migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Desktop, TPImporter for Online

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service.
