Issue Importing Inventory to QuickBooks Online

I am tried importing my inventory and Quickbooks said everything went successful but when I go to my Products and Services, my inventory is no where to be found. I tried importing again and it says I can not import products with the same name as existing products. Does anyone know if my imported inv

Sometimes local internet cache files stored in the system can cause unexpected behavior in the product. This can be the reason why your imported inventory isn't showing.

 

Let me share with you some basic troubleshooting steps to fix this right away.

 

To start, access your account using a private window. This mode doesn't record any activity on your local device. Here's how:

 

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

 

Then, go back to the Product and Services list and check if the imported items show up

 

If you're able to see them, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Or else, use another supported browser to access your QuickBooks Online account.

 

Additionally, you can create spreadsheets of your products and services in Excel or Google Sheets. Simply download our sample file and follow its format to import them correctly.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Import Data.
  3. Choose Product and Services.
  4. Click Download a sample file and open the file.

Hi there, 

I have tried doing everything you mentioned. I tried using a private browser, that didn't work. I tried clearing the cache, that didn't work. I normally use safari so I downloaded chrome and tried doing it that way and it didn't work either? Any thing else you know that could work?

Since you’re still experiencing the issue, I recommend contacting our Support team. They have the proper tools to securely check your account and investigate the reason why you’re unable to see your imported inventory.

  1. Go to the (?) Help icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us either Start a chat (if you preferred messaging) or Get a callback.
