Can a cash drawer be used with quickbooks when taking payments and receiving cash through invoicing - receiving the payments?

Hello there, anne,

 

You can use the Cash Drawer account to record payments for paid invoices. Just make sure to select the correct account on the Deposit to section.

 

Here's how to receive a payment:

 

  1. Click the Plus icon.
  2. Select Receive Payment.
  3. Select the customer's name, the payment date, and payment method.
  4. Make sure to select Cash Drawer on the Deposit to section.
  5. Enter the Amount received.
  6. Select Save and new.
