Can I copy excel columns to products and services

We're here to ensure you can import your products and services list in QuickBooks Online (QBO), relianceenginepa.

Before we begin, I'd like to verify if you've experienced any other errors besides exceeding 1000 rows when importing from an Excel spreadsheet. Any extra details will assist us in finding the right solution for this issue.

When creating a spreadsheet of your products and services in Excel, ensure proper formatting for successful importation into QBO. Check out the following tips:

  • Product/Service Name: 100 character limit. Avoid special characters. See the approved characters list for more info.
  • Income Account: You can't use subaccounts.
  • Quantity as-of Date: Format like this: MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY
  • Income and Expense account: You can't use subaccounts.

If your formatting is correct and the error continues, this is likely caused by a browser-related issue. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this.

Start by pulling up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

If you're able to import your products and services list, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

Also, you can utilize reports to gain valuable insights into your purchases, sales, and inventory status. To determine which one to run based on the details you need, refer to this article: Use reports to see your sales and inventory status.
