Custom fields on invoice are not printing out

Custom fields created in Invoices are not printing out. They show in preview but when sent to customer the field is empty. I have tried to see if custom fields would appear in every template. None of the templates print the custom field.

Custom fields on invoice are not printing out

Hello,

You might have the custom fields set to internal only.  If you do, make sure to place a check mark in the Public boxes.

Custom fields on invoice are not printing out

There’s an easy way to do this in QuickBooks Desktop, xcollett.

It’s a great idea to add a custom field and include it upon printing the sales form. I’ll show you how:

  1. From the Lists menu, select Templates.
  2. Double-click the template.
  3. Click Additional Customization.
  4. Go to the tab where you enter the custom field.
  5. Tick (✓) the Print column.
  6. Click OK, then OK.

There you have it. Feel free to post again if there's anything that I can help you with.

Custom fields on invoice are not printing out

Thanks for sharing the details of your concern with us, GHl CO ENT.

I want to ensure this is taken care of. First, may I know the exact error message when you print the invoice? Any information can help us resolve the problem.

There are a few reasons why some data won't appear on the printed document. You can reimport your template and ensure it’s set as the default form style in the Customize section.

  1. Select the + New button.
  2. Choose Invoice.
  3. Click the Customize option, then choose the template you made.

Additionally, here’s a video tutorial that provides ways to personalize and add specific information to sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

Do you have other concerns with managing custom forms? Just let me know. I’ll be here to help. Take care!
