Hi. I am following instructions on QBO's help pages to find out how to forward receipts. However, I cannot find the Receipts page in my account. Please help.

Hello there, Robert. I can help you find your Receipts page within QuickBooks. It is under the Transactions menu.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu.
  2. Click the right-side menu and select Receipts.
  3. From there, you can also forward receipts by selecting Forward from email.

If the Receipts page still isn't visible, I recommend accessing QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private browser or incognito mode. Here are the keyboard shortcuts for different browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If using a private browser allows you to forward receipts, be sure to clear the cache of your regular browser. If that doesn’t work, let's use a different supported web browser.

For more information on sending receipts, refer to this article: Email receipts and bills.

  • Note: While the article is a US guide, it is still applicable in your country.

Additionally, you can upload your receipts to QuickBooks to keep your financial records organized and easily track your expenses, ensuring you have the necessary documentation for budgeting and reporting.

  • Note: Although the article is a US guide, it remains relevant and applicable in your country.

If you have any more questions about finding your Receipts page in QuickBooks Online, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help you every step of the way!

Hi KiazzymaeC,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, your instructions did not work. I tried two different browsers, including Incognito mode in both. There is no Receipts tab or link in the Transactions section, or seemingly anywhere else in my QBO account.

I can see expenses, but not receipts.

Regards,

Rob

Hi Robert. I'd like to share some information about the receipts forwarding feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

This feature is currently accessible in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, South Africa, and Australia.

We appreciate your interest in this service and greatly value your feedback, which plays a vital role in enhancing the user experience across our platform. Your insights are always welcome and beneficial not only to your business but also to the wider community. Please follow these steps to add your suggestion:

  1. Go to Settings and select Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Then select Next to submit your feedback.

Once submitted, our engineers will review your feedback. It may influence future updates, especially if it attracts significant user interest. While you await broader availability, you can manually attach receipts when creating expenses:

  1. Click the + New button.
  2. Select Expense under Suppliers.
  3. Complete the expense information.
  4. Click the Add attachment box, then locate and open the receipt from your folder.

Hi. I am following instructions on QBO's help pages to find out how to forward receipts. However, I cannot find the Receipts page in my account. Please help.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. In your reply, you provided the following link: "For more details on forwarding receipts, please refer to this article: Email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online"

Given that this feature is not available in my region, what is the value of this link to me?

Also, any reason why receipt forwarding is not available in NZ, when it's available in Australia?

Thanks

Rob

Hi. I am following instructions on QBO's help pages to find out how to forward receipts. However, I cannot find the Receipts page in my account. Please help.

The article that our colleague has provided you is for the information about the email receipts and bills features for QBO US users.

The Receipt Forwarding feature is only available in selected countries like Australia, the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, and South Africa, but it’s not yet offered in New Zealand. This is due to various factors such as localized business needs and compliance with local regulations. However, Intuit is continually working to enhance their product offerings, and user demand plays a significant role in prioritizing new features. We appreciate your feedback and encourage you to keep an eye on future updates, as more features will become available over time.

In the meantime, you can follow the workaround my colleague has provided in attaching receipts to transactions you send to your customers.

Moreover, you can consider adding attachments to your transactions for your customers. This allows for more organised recordkeeping. It can also help your accountant manage your books at the end of the financial year.

Let us know if you need help with adding attachments or have other additional concerns with QBO. We're always ready to assist.
