Hi I'm writing an invoice using QB Online. Suddenly there are no options in the tax field drop-down, e.g 16% VAT, zero-rated, etc... so cannot save the invoice.

Thanks for reaching out to us, dgrace1.

There are times when having too much cache stored on your computer can cause the software to behave unexpectedly. Let's work together to get this sorted out. You can perform some troubleshooting steps so you'll be able to select the proper taxes when creating invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Start with accessing your account using an incognito window. This mode helps since it doesn't save any internet data. Here are the shortcut keys to use:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If it works, switch back to your regular browser and delete the cache to refresh the system. You can also further isolate by using a different supported browser.
