Since the footnote appears correctly in the invoice preview, the issue will likely be on your customer’s end. Sometimes, discrepancies can occur due to differences in how invoices are displayed or printed on different devices.
To fix this, suggest your customer refresh their view or access the invoice from another device. If the problem persists, let your customer perform basic troubleshooting steps. Too much historical data can slow down loading times, and clearing it will resolve the issue.
First, let them access their account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. They can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:
Once done, let them open and print an invoice again. If it works, switch back to their regular browser. Then, clear its cache. This way, they can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. They can also use a different supported one.
Please remember that customizations to the invoice template will only apply to new invoices. Any invoices created before the customization will not reflect these changes.
