How can I create a Goods received note on Quickbooks online? How can my warehouse supervisor record the inventory being received in the warehouse?

QuickBooks Online has this print a packaging slip option. However, the feature to create a Good Received Note is unavailable. This can be a great addition to the current features in QBO.

For now, I want you to visit our QuickBooks Blog to check for new updates and features that we have.

To record the inventory being received in the warehouse, you can create a Purchase Order first. Once the inventory is received, convert the PO into a bill. This way, the quantity of the item will be added to the inventory (Products and Services) list.

Here's how:

1. Go to the +New button.
2. Under Vendor, choose Bill.
3. Click the Vendor drop-down arrow and then choose the vendor's name.
4. All existing PO's will display on the left side. Select the correct PO and click Add. 
5. Click on Save and close once done.

You can also record it as a Cheque or an Expense.

You may need an additional app to receive your order in full or partial, and integrate it with your QBO.

Many small and medium-sized businesses find inventory tracking time-consuming. QuickBooks assists you in effectively managing your inventory. I'm here to share how QuickBooks tracks inventory items from the day they arrive until the reordering point. 

When you add new products, you can enter reorder points. QuickBooks will monitor and will send a message alert when your stocks are getting low.

Furthermore, a purchase order is a document that you send to suppliers to inform them of the items you require. 

1. Go to Get paid & pay and select Products and services.
2. Select Low Stock or Out of stock. If you need to reorder both low-stock and out-of-stock products from the same supplier, don’t use any of the filters at the top.
3. Select the products as needed. Above the list of products, you'll see a drop-down menu.
4. Select Batch actions, then Reorder. This creates a purchase order for a single supplier.
5. Complete all the details, or add other items you need to reorder from the supplier.
6. Select Save and send.
