Thanks for posting here in the QuickBooks Community, Sonia,

I'm here to share some insights about this feature you're looking for. For now, the option to update the decimal format is currently unavailable in the program. The system is formatted to round off the digits up to 2 decimal places.

Having this option is good idea. But before our developers release product updates, they go through a wide range of feedback. They try to navigate a path forward with accessibility leading and wanted to be very thorough with the enhancements to make our program efficient to use.

To add your suggestion, use the following steps:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Don't worry, when there are new updates for our QBO products, it will be communicated through in-product ads. You can also check out these links to be updated with the recent and upcoming changes for our QuickBooks products:

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to assist you today other that this product request. I’m always available to help if you ever need one.

@soniagrabot-gmai

If 3 decimal places feature is mandatory for your business, consider switching to QB Desktop or another cloud-based accounting app.
