I want to officially welcome you to the Community space, @agupta28. I'm here to share some details on how to enter the sales category for new and existing invoices.
You can manually edit the category you created by going to the Product and Services menu. From there, you can enter the new sales category and apply it to the new and existing invoices. Let me show you how.
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Products and services.
- Find the service item you want to change, then select Edit under the Action column.
- In the Category column, click the drop-down arrow and chooses the correct categories or tap the Add new button.
- Hit Save and close or Save and new.
Once done, review the existing invoices and verify if the changes apply. If so, you can now create an invoice using the new sales categories. For more details on how to create an invoice, click this article: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Also, regarding the different geographies, you'll have to edit the invoices and add the locations manually. Doing so, I'd suggest turn on and set up the location tracking. This is used to categorise data from different locations, offices, regions, outlets, or departments of the same company.
