I can't find in my account where I can enable the multicurrency feature.

Hi there, ivan-nordgaimer.

Multicurrency is available as an advanced feature within QuickBooks Online. It's currently available in both Essentials and Plus versions

It's possible that you're using Simple Start, which is why you're not seeing the option to activated Multicurrency. You'll want to upgrade to either Essentials or Plus to turn it on. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Proceed to the Billing & Subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks Online section, select Upgrade
  4. Choose the plan you want, and select Upgrade.
  5. Confirm your payment information and select Save.

Once done, check out these articles as additional guides on how to use the feature:

I'll be around if you have other questions.

@ivan-nordgaimer

As another option, explore this payment service to deal with multi currency transactions.

Please take a look at my screenshot. I have already my subscription ready but still there are no advanced options in the settings.

Thank you for providing a screenshot above, @ivan-nordgaimer. This way, I can provide you the exact resolution to view the Advanced menu and enable the multicurrency feature in QuickBooks.

Multicurrency will help you track your foreign currency transactions and monitor your account's exchange gains or losses. Regardless if you're in the trial or subscribed QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, you should be able to access the Advanced menu in the Account and Settings page.

There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, thus causing some unusual responses. You can log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser to isolate the issue.

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox or Internet Explorer)
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, go to the Account and Settings page. If you're able to access the Advanced menu, go ahead and turn on the multicurrency feature. Then, return to your default browser and clear its cache and cookies to refresh the system.

However, if the issue persists, I'd recommend using other supported browsers to turn on the multicurrency feature in QuickBooks.

Moreover, once you turn the multicurrency feature on you cannot turn it off and you can no longer change your home currency. To learn more about it, kindly refer to this article: How Multicurrency works. It contains steps on how to add currencies, delete it, and connect an account that uses a foreign currency.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.

I can't find in my account where I can enable the multicurrency feature.

We are having this issue and nothing on this page seems to fix it.
Anyone having this issue still?
W already did everything suggested. The Adance option still does not show anywhere.

I can't find in my account where I can enable the multicurrency feature.

Hi there, @CRUCR. Let's work this out to enable the multicurrency feature inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before anything else, may I know what version of QBO you're using? Please be aware that the multicurrency feature is only available in QuickBooks Essentials and the Plus versions. If you're using the Simple start version, you may want to upgrade it to utilize the feature.

In case you're unsure of what version of QBO you're using, here's how you can check the current version inside your company:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
  2. Click the Gear icon, then Account and settings.
  3. Select Billing & subscription.
  4. Review the information in each section.

  • To view payment history: In the QuickBooks Online tile, select View payment history. Your billing history shows the last 6 months’ bills.

If you wish to upgrade to higher version of QBO, I recommend checking this page: Upgrade or downgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.

Also, in case the issue persists after upgrading your current subscription. I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, they can check your account in a safe environment to determine the root cause of the problem.  See this page for further details: How and when can I contact Support?

I'm determined to help you get through this, @CRUCR. Please don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you need further assistance enabling the multicurrency feature. Stay safe, and have a nice day.

The error is as fallow:

The Advanced settings disappeared when we changed the settings to another language. Now we have contacted Quickbooks many times and keep saying it's an issue, but it's been weeks and it's still not fixed.
