Thank you for the additional details, @enkbenson.

Importing data is the fastest way of bringing them to QuickBooks Online. The system allows you to easily import bank data, customers, suppliers, chart of accounts, invoices, and bills, and products and services. I'll share with you how to import your sales receipts.

First, you can look for a third-party application and connect it to QuickBooks to successfully import the sales receipts transactions. Make sure to open QuickBooks as a master administrator to use and manage apps in your account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Search for the app you're interested in.
  3. Select the app, then click Get the app now.
  4. Review the Authorisation page and select Connect.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

To answer the most commonly asked questions about importing data to QBO, you can check out this article. It also gives the ordered list of information that you can import.

Once done importing your data, you can as well open the topics from our help articles as your guide while getting started with QBO.

Hello there, @enkbenson.

With QuickBooks Online (QBO), you're able to track your business income and expenses. You should have the sales receipt feature and other sales transactions (i.e. invoice, receive payment, and quote) regardless of your subscription or current program version. You're able to create one by selecting the + New button. Please see the attached screenshot below.

There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, thus causing some unusual system responses. You can isolate this by logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, go to the + New button. If you're able to see the sales receipt feature, return to your default browser and clear its cache and cookies. This will remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if the problem persists, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

Additionally, to compare the features per QBO version, I'd recommend checking out this article: QuickBooks Accounting Plan Comparisons. It also contains details about the additional features we offer when using the program like free support, applications, and accountants access.

I'm also adding this article to know more about all the newly-added features in QBO: What's New in QuickBooks Online. It includes auto invoice reminders and GSTIN validation change to name a few.

Please know that you're always welcome to comment below if you have other concerns or follow up inquiries about QBO features. I'm just around to help. Take care always.

I do not have some features, like Sales Receipt. Why is that?

Hi Rea_M

Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't very specific as to the exact nature of my issue.

I meant I do not have Sales Receipt as part of the import data options.

I am currently subscribed to online plus so I expected to have access to all import options.

@enkbenson

You need an importer tool to do so.
