I just moved to the online plus version. Some services/products I always use are not appearing on the drop down menu when I try to create new invoices.

The products/services tab shows that the 'services' are listed and available so I don't know why only some of them are coming up as options on the drop down menu of a new invoice to select - some are there and some aren't. It appears that anything starting after the letter S does not show but those that come before show. I have cleared cache, browsing history etc. tried incognito, different supported browsers and none of that makes a difference. The only thing different between this week and last weeks' invoices is that I upgraded to the online plus as I wanted to be able to set up recurring invoices. Please advise.

It's great seeing you here in the Community, caterpillarkids2. I'll share insights to enable these service and product items to appear when creating an invoice.

To verify the items created, let's ensure these are active and are in the correct account. Doing so will help us check if these items appear on your sales forms.

Also, we can create an unscheduled recurring transaction on an invoice you got to load on. This way, it would help us load the item instead of trying repeatedly. To guide you on how to create a recurring template, here's how:

  1. Go to Settings and click Recurring transactions.
  2. Select New and choose the type of transaction to create. Then, tap OK.
  3. Enter a template name and select a Type (Scheduled, Unscheduled, or Reminder).
  4. You may complete the necessary fields and select Save template.

You may visit this link to learn more about the detailed steps above: Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, I'm adding this link to guide you on how to categorise the products and services you sell and use them in transactions: Group your product and services into different categories. It also includes details on how to help you with your business reporting.

Don't hesitate to reply in the comments below if you have additional questions about invoices. We're looking forward to assisting you further. Keep safe!

Hi there, this was not the issue. I was able to figure out the problem myself - the software only allows 100 products/services to be created and anything over this will not show up on the drop down in a sales invoice even though they will still appear on the list of products/services available. My business will have more than 100 products/services used on a weekly basis on invoices, can the limit of 100 items in the product/service capacity be increased to 200 for example?
