I transitioned from Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus to Quickbooks Online. Is there anyway to keep the same invoice format? Dont want to change what customers are used to.

When switching from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO), there are differences in how your books appear. 

Since you’d like to keep the exact invoice format, you can utilize a third-party app to achieve it. This way, all fields, options, and arrangements will remain when you start managing invoices in QBO. You can visit your Apps menu to find one. I’m glad to show you the steps:

1. Log in to your QBO company.
2. From your left pane, select Apps.
3. Go to Find apps.
4. Enter a keyword in the Search field, then choose. You can click each to see their features.
5. Click Get app now.
   

I can see how convenient it is to keep form style for customers who are used to it. You can submit this idea within your QBO company to improve your experience. Our Product Development team can take a look and might consider this as part of the future enhancements.

1. Select the Gear icon at the top.
2. Go to Feedback.
3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
4. Click Next to submit.

What should you search for to find the correct app? I have searched every word I could think of and haven't found any app that would allow me to import my templates from the desktop version.

When you receive a payment from a customer, you'll have to record it in QBO to mark the invoice as paid. Otherwise, the invoice remains open and unpaid in your reports. Doing so will guarantee that your books are balanced in particular ways.
