I want to scan my bill using the mobile app but I can't find the camera you scan in transactions or receipts

Bills are uploaded a little differently in the QuickBooks Online mobile app, marnikomedia.

This is why you're unable to see a camera option since it's only used to scan receipts.

For bills, you can take a picture of the transaction using the Camera function on your mobile device. The photo's file type must be a PDF, JPEG, JPG, GIF, or PNG.

Here's how to activate and set up the feature:

  1. Log in to your account in a web browser.
  2. Go to Transactions, then select Receipts.
  3. Click Forward from email, then create a customized email address in the Enter email address field. It will have @qbodocs.com at the end.
  4. Just in case you want to update the email address later, go to the Your forwarding email section, then select Update.
  5. Enter a new email address and select Confirm change.
  6. Click Next, then confirm that it's accurate.
  7. Choose Looks good.

After that, email the bills to your custom email address @qbodocs.com. Please note that it may take a few minutes to send. You can also send multiple bills in one email, and the email attachment's file size must be between 46KB to 20 MB.
