Need help We do have a question and no one until now help us and solve our problems

Our problem is : When we are quoting our client we add new item each time and the vender of the item mostly is amazon , we do put the item cost + we select the vender , we do not create a Purchase Order for amazon orders . now we surprised that when we tried to get the taxable sales summary to pay the tax to our government that all amazon orders and all other orders which we don't create a purchase order for it is not calculated under purchased item in the report which lead the calculation of paying the tax much higher than we should pay . Now we really need help to figure out how to calculate all purchased item throw vender amazon ?? This is a very serious issue FYI what we usually do quote our client then after we got the approval we convert the quotation into an invoice that's it .

Once you set up the sales tax, QuickBooks will do tax calculations automatically. Creating a purchase order will not affect the calculation. It's because a PO is a non-posting transaction. 

 

In your case, it looks like you're creating a billable expense transaction. It's an expense you incur on your client's behalf once you perform work for them. Or purchase something for them.

 

First, we'll have to check the product or item. Let's ensure you've selected a sales tax or purchase tax. This way, the tax liability or amount will be calculated accurately. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Go to Products and services.
  3. Select the item, then click Edit.
  4. Ensure a sales tax item or code is set up.
  5. Click Save and close

Then, review the transactions and ensure a sales tax or code is linked.

 

Once done, you can pull up the Tax Liability report. From there, you can get a detailed look at the taxes you owe and why you owe them.

Really thank you for your quick reply , i follow what you instruct us but still get nothing .

 

If you are asking on which “ Income account “ , its on “ sales “ , and for “ Expense account “ its “ Purchases  “

Im not really sure if I get your point or not but however these setting is since we create an account with your system

 

Is there a way to contact you directly and make you to control my pc so you can show me ??

Once you set up sales tax, QuickBooks automatically calculates the total tax rate for each sale based on the following:

 

  • Your customer's tax exempt status
  • Where you sell and where you ship
  • What you sell


An estimate/quote is a non-posting transactions which you can give to your customer for a quote, bid, or proposal for your work plan to do. 

If you're using this when recording your transactions, they won't show in the Taxable Sales Summary report. The report will show the posting transactions such as invoices or when you make a sale. Thus, they will only reflect on the report after converting them into invoices.


If you want to connect with us, I'd recommend contacting our phone support. They have the tools that can perform screen-sharing sessions in a secure environment and help you with the process. This way, we can verify the cause of the issue and fix it.

 

Here's how to connect with them:
 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Select Contact Support Team.
  4. Type again Talk to a human and click Contact Support Team.
  5. Choose between Ask the community, or Chat.

Until now no one really solve my issue , i know all of you trying to but really if someone contact me and i make him watching what I'm doing then he can tell us and figure out our problem  .
