We have settlement from a marketplace. For example ebay. The problem to attach settlement with invoices is when the settlement have the commission on top of total. how?

Let me help you get around your concern, Saiful1.

You're unable to attach the settlement with the commission on top. You'll want to enter them manually instead.

First, you'll have to create a clearing account. You use this when you're unable to move money directly from one account to another. Here's how:

  1. Click Accounting.
  2. Go to the Chart of Accounts tab.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select the Account Type and the Detail Type.
  5. Enter a name for the account.
  6. Click Save and close.

Then, deposit the settlement to the clearing account and transfer the money by writing a check. From there, you can add the commission amount.

As always, we suggest reaching out to your accountant on the best way to handle this situation.
