Hi Team, I want accounts entry training from your side. Please respond to me.

Welcome to the Community space, @sennaccts.

I'll be glad to guide you through the steps in entering accounts in QuickBooks Online that will help you with your training.

Chart of Accounts is the complete list of all the company's accounts and balances. In QuickBooks Online, it represents and organizes the company's assets, liabilities, income, and expenses. This way, you'll know how much money your company has, how much money it owes, and how much money is coming in.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select New in the top right corner.
  3. Click on the Account Type drop-down to select the account type.
  4. Select the Detail Type to specify the type of account that you want to add.
  5. Give your new account a name. You can use the info under the detail type to add a name that fits.
  6. If you’re adding a sub-account, select Is sub-account and then enter the parent account.
  7. You have the option of including information in the Description field and an amount in the Balance field.
  8. Select Save and Close.

For more details, you can click this article: Add an account to your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online. It also includes a video tutorial that will visually guide you with the steps.

Once done, you can now add transactions in your Chart of Accounts, just go to the bank register to enter them.

  1. You can either go to the Accounting menu in the left-hand corner or click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Look for the account, then click View Register beside it.

I'm adding these resources that will guide you with your training and help you with your future task in QuickBooks:

Please let me know if there's anything else you need. I'll be around to help you out. Take care!
