Can you please confirm if you're trying to move the excess payment of your Accounts Receivables and apply it to your payables? If so, how did you record the payment in QuickBooks? I need this information so we can proceed.
Usually, we can do this by creating journal entries to transfer balances. For this method, we always recommend that you refer this to an accountant for the accounts to use. Handling account are best assisted by your accountant.

However, if you need to reclassify bulk entries, you will need an accountant user to do it for you. Invite the user fist using the steps found in this link. When you're done, have them follow the steps in this article to update any accounts for multiple entries in QBO: Reclassify or move multiple transactions at once.
